Cooperation

KAU co­ope­rates with num­ber of Uni­ver­si­ti­es both in Euro­pe and the USA. Among so­me of tho­se uni­ver­si­ti­es the­re we­re ar­ti­cula­ti­on ag­re­ements conc­lu­ded. In ac­cordan­ce to that ag­re­ement the uni­ver­si­ti­es re­cog­ni­ze the stan­dard of edu­cati­on at KAU and that it do­es cor­respond to Euro­pe­an or Ame­rican Edu­cati­on stan­dards. Thus the stu­dents of KAU ha­ve the op­portu­nity to comp­le­te the­ir edu­cati­on of Ame­rican or Euro­pe­an Uni­ver­si­ti­es af­ter ha­ving comp­le­ted the­ir ma­jor co­ur­se in Ka­zakh­stan and ob­ta­in high deg­ree cer­ti­fica­tes from Ka­zakh­stan as well as Ame­rican Edu­cati­onal Ins­ti­tuti­ons. The­re ha­ve be­en ot­her ag­re­ements conc­lu­ded on exc­han­ge prog­rams for KAU stu­dents and te­ac­hers to­get­her with ag­re­ement on com­mon cur­ri­culums and syl­la­bus work.

Uni­ver­si­ty-part­ners ha­ve to pro­vide a sup­port in or­ga­nizing the edu­cati­onal pro­cess in Ka­zakh­stan: te­ac­hing ma­teri­als, tra­ining co­ur­ses, text bo­oks, etc. In ad­di­ti­on, part­ner-uni­ver­si­ty is ob­li­gated to in­vi­te KAU te­ac­hers to par­ti­cipa­te in se­lec­ting fo­re­ign te­ac­hers for KAU and the­ir furt­her lec­tu­res or les­sons ac­cording to the cur­ri­culum ag­re­ed by the Co­ope­rating Uni­ver­si­ty. In­terna­ti­onal De­part­ment wit­hin KAU pro­vides its full sup­port to stu­dents in cho­osing the right Uni­ver­si­ty and as­sists them in ot­her is­su­es if such oc­cur.

Uni­ver­si­ty of Cin­cinna­ti, USA

Университет Цинциннати, США (University of Cincinnati, USA) Uni­ver­si­ty of Cin­cinna­ti is one of the big­gest uni­ver­si­ti­es in the USA, which was fo­un­ded in 1819, and is as big as Ho­ward Uni­ver­si­ty. In 1968 the uni­ver­si­ty re­ce­ived a sta­te grant and be­came a Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty in 1977. The­re are 18 col­le­ges at uni­ver­si­ty: Col­le­ge of Bu­siness, Col­le­ge of Me­dici­ne, Col­le­ge of Phar­ma­cy, Col­le­ge of Mu­sic, Col­le­ge of En­gi­ne­ering, Col­le­ge of Arc­hi­tec­tu­re, Col­le­ge of Edu­cati­on, etc. The uni­ver­si­ty is acc­re­dited by As­so­ci­ation of Ame­rican Scho­ols and Uni­ver­si­ti­es. The first mu­tu­al prog­ram in the USA was sug­gested by the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cin­cinna­ti in 1906.

Cur­rent­ly the uni­ver­si­ty has de­velo­ped and of­fe­red one mo­re mu­tu­al prog­ram which is the se­cond in its ra­te in the USA. The­re we­re three prog­rams sug­gested by the uni­ver­si­ty’ col­le­ges: JD/Mas­ter, LD/MBA, and JD/MCP. The­se prog­rams’ stu­dents can get a deg­ree of Hu­mani­ti­es and Sci­en­ce. The uni­ver­si­ty has right to award the stu­dents with dip­lo­mas of Un­derg­ra­du­ate, Gra­du­ate and Post­gra­du­ate deg­ree. No­wada­ys the uni­ver­si­ty has ac­qui­red the sta­tus of the big­gest re­se­arch cen­ter in the USA.

The uni­ver­si­ty’ cam­pu­ses are lo­cated on the area of mo­re than 200 ac­res and pre­sent the examp­le of tra­diti­onal and mo­dern arc­hi­tec­tu­re. The most num­ber of stu­dents li­ve in cam­pus which is lo­cated in Clif­ton in a ve­ry gre­en en­vi­ron­ment not far from Hy­de Park. The cam­pus is ve­ry clo­se to banks and su­per­markets. The uni­ver­si­ty stu­dents al­so ha­ve an op­portu­nity to stay in Sci­ot Hall. The cam­pus is pro­vided with all ne­ces­sa­ry fa­cili­ti­es for edu­cati­on and rest, has got a ve­ry big re­siden­ce for high scho­ol gra­du­ates, par­king lot and its own lib­ra­ry.

Eas­tern Con­necti­cut Sta­te

Государственный Университет Восточного Коннектикута (Eastern Connecticut State) In 1889 Ge­or­ge Ko­nant, a young la­wy­er and sec­re­tary of the Ci­ty’ Co­un­cil of Edu­cati­on sho­wed that Wil­li­man­tic is a ve­ry go­od lo­cati­on for set­ting up a scho­ol in the sta­te in the Eas­tern part of Con­necti­cut Ri­ver.

The com­mittee and the Le­gis­la­tive Bo­dy of the Sta­te app­ro­ved the pro­posal and in Sep­tember 1889 Wil­li­man­tic Sta­te Nor­mal Scho­ol star­ted its func­ti­on.

The na­me of the ins­ti­tuti­on has be­en chan­ged fo­ur ti­mes sin­ce then:

• 1937 – Wil­li­man­tic Sta­te Te­ac­hers Col­le­ge
• 1959 – Wil­li­man­tic Sta­te Col­le­ge
• 1967 – Eas­tern Con­necti­cut Sta­te Col­le­ge

Eas­tern Con­necti­cut Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty is a comp­re­hen­si­ve ins­ti­tuti­on and is en­ti­rely in­volved in­to the mis­si­on of the sys­tem of Con­necti­cut Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty, which fo­cuses on sup­port of edu­cati­on on a high le­vel and te­ac­hing met­hods imp­ro­vement. The uni­ver­si­ty is acc­re­dited by As­so­ci­ation of Scho­ol and Col­le­ges and has right to award its stu­dents with the dip­lo­mas of Un­derg­ra­du­ate, Gra­du­ate and Post­gra­du­ate deg­ree. Ok­la­homa Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty

Государственный Университет Оклахомы (Oklahoma State University) Ok­la­homa Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty was fo­un­ded on 25 De­cem­ber 1890 as Ag­ra­ri­an Tech­ni­cal Col­le­ge. It was re­named in­to Ok­la­homa Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty on 1 Ju­ne 1957.

The uni­ver­si­ty is lo­cated in Still­wa­ter in the north of Ok­la­homa. Still­wa­ter is the ci­ty with low le­vels of li­ving wa­ge and cri­me. It is abo­ut 60 mi­les far from Tul­sa and Ok­la­homa Ci­ty, which ma­kes com­mu­nica­ti­on to the uni­ver­si­ty easi­er both by car and pla­ne.

The cam­pus of Ok­la­homa Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty is con­si­dered to be one of the most be­auti­ful. It inc­lu­des a lot of mo­dern bu­il­dings in the sty­le of Ge­or­gia Sta­te. It has one of the big­gest lib­ra­ri­es in the So­uth West.

Re­se­arch Cen­ter for Le­ading Tech­no­logi­es at the Col­le­ge of En­gi­ne­ering, Arc­hi­tec­tu­re and Tech­no­logi­es was ope­ned in fall 1997. This cen­ter pla­ys an im­portant ro­le in the sphe­re of en­gi­ne­ering and re­se­arch in dif­fe­rent sci­en­ces, which are im­portant not on­ly for Ok­la­homa but al­so for the USA and the who­le World. La­tely Ok­la­homa Sta­te Uni­ver­si­ty is con­si­dered to be a le­ader in the world of com­pu­ters in the USA.


Uni­ver­si­ty of Ge­or­gia

Университет Джорджии (University of Georgia) Uni­ver­si­ty of Ge­or­gia was fo­un­ded on 27 Ja­nu­ary in 1785 by Ge­neral As­semb­ly. Ge­or­gia is the first Sta­te whe­re the uni­ver­si­ty was ba­sed on the sta­te pro­visi­on and sup­port. In 1801 the uni­ver­si­ty be­came of­fi­ci­al­ly app­ro­ved.

Cen­ter of Ame­rican Edu­cati­on in Du­bai

Центр Американского Образования в Дубае (Center for American Education in Dubai) The Cen­ter of Ame­rican Edu­cati­on in Du­bai is un­der the le­aders­hip of Ame­rican Col­le­ge in Du­bai. The cen­ter int­ro­duces the Ame­rican cre­dit sys­tem and of­fers the furt­her con­ti­nu­ation of stu­di­es in the uni­ver­si­ti­es of the USA, Ca­nada and Euro­pe.

In May 2003 KAU sig­ned the ag­re­ement with the Cen­ter, which gi­ves stu­dents of KAU the op­portu­nity of stu­dy­ing the prog­ram 2+2, that me­ans 2 years stu­dy­ing in KAU and the rest 2 years of stu­di­es in Du­bai or in the col­le­ges of the USA, Ca­nada and Euro­pe.


The in­terna­ti­onal Uni­ver­si­ty of Ca­talo­nia

Международный Университет Каталонии (Catalonian International University) The in­terna­ti­onal Uni­ver­si­ty of Ca­talo­nia is a pri­vate uni­ver­si­ty, which was re­cog­ni­zed by Par­li­ament of Ca­lifor­nia in 1997. The Uni­ver­si­ty ex­pands co­ope­rati­on with ot­her edu­cati­onal scho­ols of the world. The gre­at at­tenti­on is pa­id to the uni­ver­si­ti­es of Post-So­vi­et Co­unt­ri­es. In 2001 the­re was sig­ned the ag­re­ement with the Mos­cow Uni­ver­si­ty na­med af­ter M.V. Lo­mono­sov and the In­terna­ti­onal Uni­ver­si­ty of Ca­talo­nia. In 2003 it sig­ned the ag­re­ement with KAU of the fi­eld of cul­tu­ral co­ope­rati­on.

Stu­dents can comp­le­te the sche­dule and cho­ose the spe­ci­al­ty by them­selves. The uni­ver­si­ty is lo­cated in Wa­shing­ton. Du­ring the last de­cades the uni­ver­si­ty be­came the most im­portant one in the co­unt­ry. The mo­dern sys­tem of the uni­ver­si­ty edu­cati­onal prog­ram and the pla­ce of lo­cati­on att­racts ma­ny sci­en­tist (scho­lars) and te­ac­hers (ins­truc­tors).
