Centre of practice and career (CPC)

The Cent­re of Prac­ti­ce and Car­ri­er was for­med in or­der to pro­vide stu­dents with ne­ces­sa­ry help in get­ting prac­ti­cal skills on the­ir ma­jor du­ring the edu­cati­on and af­ter gra­du­ating the uni­ver­si­ty.
To ri­se KAU stu­dents and gra­du­ates com­pe­titi­veness due to the­ir abi­lity to set the task in front of them and what is the most im­portant abi­lity to ac­hi­eve the­ir aims- is one of the most im­portant tasks of the uni­ver­si­ty. CPC work is di­rec­ted at ri­se of KAU ima­ge, and ex­pansi­on of num­ber of po­ten­ti­al emp­lo­yers.
In or­der to ac­hi­eve its aim IWS holds com­merci­al and in­forma­ti­onal cam­pa­igns (ad­verts, me­etings with ad­vi­sers, me­etings with the stu­dents and etc.), prac­ti­ces cre­ation of da­ta ba­se on com­pa­ni­es and can­di­dates for work pla­cement, or­ga­nizes in­tervi­ews with them, ma­kes up and pla­ces ad­verts abo­ut va­can­ci­es. Mo­re­over it or­ga­nizes com­pa­ny pre­sen­ta­ti­ons and an­nu­al Work Fa­ir whe­re fo­re­ign, lo­cal com­pa­ni­es, jo­int en­terp­ri­ses and sta­te or­ga­niza­ti­ons are in­vi­ted. In Ka­zakh­stan the­re are a lot of fo­re­ign com­pa­ni­es, jo­int en­terp­ri­ses, banks which IWS has be­en co­ope­rating with for a long ti­me, for e.g. Ka­zIn­vest Bank, Bank Cen­ter Cre­dit, audi­ting com­pa­ni­es Pri­cewa­ter­ho­use Co­opers, De­lo­it­te, KPMG, sta­te or­ga­niza­ti­ons Ka­zakh­te­lecom, Kaz­post and ot­her le­ading com­pa­ni­es of Ka­zakh­stan. Pros­pecti­ve com­pa­ni­es which are in­te­res­ted in emp­lo­yees on the ba­sis of se­lec­ti­on they can ac­co­unt on in fu­ture.

Not the le­ast im­portant task is to or­ga­nize short co­ur­ses: Re­sume and Co­ver Let­ter wri­ting; how to pass in­tervi­ew; skills to pre­sent your­self; bu­siness eti­qu­et­te; of­fi­ce work (in 3 lan­gu­ages).
Cent­re of Prac­ti­ce and Car­ri­er is res­ponsib­le for stu­dents’ emp­lo­yment as­sistan­ce on the fol­lo­wing di­rec­ti­ons: full ti­me emp­lo­yment as­sistan­ce du­ring ho­liday’s pe­ri­od; part ti­me emp­lo­yment; and uni­ver­si­ty gra­du­ates emp­lo­yment as­sistan­ce (in Ka­zakh­stan and ab­ro­ad).
Mo­re­over du­ring ho­lida­ys KAU stu­dents and stu­dents of Scho­ol at KAU ha­ve op­portu­nity to do prac­ti­cal work, pro­bati­on pe­ri­od in com­pa­ni­es as in­terp­re­ters, of­fi­ce ma­nager’s as­sistants and etc. All this will de­fini­tely help the young ge­nera­ti­on to get bet­ter re­sults and be­nefit in the­ir fu­ture li­fe.
KAU gra­du­ates are mo­re com­pe­titi­ve in la­bor mar­ket and ha­ve jobs in le­ading com­pa­ni­es of Ka­zakh­stan, ta­ke high po­siti­ons in bu­siness, in­terna­ti­onal or­ga­niza­ti­ons on the po­siti­on of Top Ma­nage­ment and not lo­wer than po­siti­on of a ma­nager of midd­le link.
