International department

In­terna­ti­onal re­lati­ons are one of the ma­in di­rec­ti­ons of KAU Fa­cul­ty and Staff work. In terms of edu­cati­onal sys­tem re­for­ma­ti­on which is di­rec­ted at in­tegra­ti­on in­to world edu­cati­on, get­ting world ex­pe­ri­en­ce in the re­al sphe­re on the ba­ses of di­rect re­lati­ons with fo­re­ign uni­ver­si­ti­es, em­bassi­es, in­terna­ti­onal or­ga­niza­ti­ons and funds are the ma­in tasks of the In­terna­ti­onal De­part­ment.
Clo­se re­lati­ons are be­ing es­tabli­shed with fo­re­ign uni­ver­si­ti­es which are in­te­res­ted in co­ope­rati­on.
Pro­duc­ti­ve co­ope­rati­on of Ka­zakh te­ac­hers and pro­fes­sors with the­ir col­le­agues from well- known in­terna­ti­onal ins­ti­tuti­ons cont­ri­bute to ex­panding and ad­vance­ment of mul­ti­level cul­tu­ral and edu­cati­onal co­ope­rati­on bet­we­en our co­unt­ri­es.
No­wada­ys In­terna­ti­onal De­part­ment has in­forma­ti­on abo­ut fo­re­ign col­le­ges and uni­ver­si­ti­es, inc­lu­ding Ame­rican and Ca­nadi­an ones. Se­lec­ti­on of fo­re­ign edu­cati­onal cen­ters is be­ing held ta­king in­to ac­co­unt jo­int man­po­wer tra­ining op­portu­nity.
In­terna­ti­onal De­part­ment car­ri­es out ex­ternal fo­re­ign cor­respon­dence and ke­eps in­forma­ti­on:
- abo­ut ru­les of en­roll­ment in­to Ame­rican Uni­ver­si­ti­es;
- abo­ut tra­vel­ling pa­per work;
- abo­ut edu­cati­onal fe­es, apart­ments and bo­ard in Ame­rican Uni­ver­si­ti­es, me­dical in­su­ran­ce, and tra­vel­ling ab­ro­ad.
One of the ma­in func­ti­ons of the In­terna­ti­onal De­part­ment is to do mar­ke­ting and se­arch of or­ga­niza­ti­ons and uni­ver­si­ti­es, which pro­vide grants, scho­lars­hips and fi­nan­ci­al sup­port for stu­dents, te­ac­hers, de­part­ments and ot­her uni­ver­si­ty sub­di­visi­ons. The aim of such se­arch is to pro­vide te­ac­hers with op­portu­nity to get fo­re­ign te­ac­hing ex­pe­ri­en­ce, exc­han­ge and re­ce­ive edu­cati­onal ma­teri­als for KAU De­part­ments and ot­her sub­di­visi­ons.
Not on­ly do Ka­zakh stu­dents stu­dy at KAU, but al­so fo­re­ign ones. In­terna­ti­onal de­part­ment is in char­ge of vi­sa sup­port and al­so in char­ge of per­so­nal ser­vi­ces and prob­lems which can ari­se in stu­dent’s ro­uti­ne li­fe. They hold mont­hly me­etings, du­ring which the fo­re­ign stu­dents can get ne­ces­sa­ry in­forma­ti­on and help.
An­nu­al pre­sen­ta­ti­ons of in­terna­ti­onal edu­cati­onal prog­rams for e.g. IREX Eura­si­an prog­ram of stu­dents exc­han­ge are be­ing held at uni­ver­si­ty. It is the prog­ram of the De­part­ment of edu­cati­onal and cul­tu­ral prog­rams of Sta­te De­part­ment of the USA, which is ad­mi­nist­ra­ted by Ame­rican Co­un­cil on In­terna­ti­onal re­se­arc­hes and exc­han­ges.
