The Academic council and Scientific – methodical council

The aca­demic co­un­cil of Ka­zakh-Ame­rican Uni­ver­si­ty is the high de­libe­rati­ve bo­dy cont­rol of edu­cati­onal ac­ti­viti­es of KAU. The ob­jecti­ve of aca­demic co­un­cil is de­fining the ma­in stra­tegic go­al of the de­velop­ment ef­fort of KAU. The aca­demic co­un­cil has so­me ad­jecti­ves they are:
De­ciding the car­di­nal qu­es­ti­ons of or­ga­niza­ti­on and for­ma­ti­on of edu­cati­onal pro­cess;
De­ciding the di­rec­ti­on of sci­en­ti­fic and met­ho­dical ef­fort of KAU.
Du­ring in­ter-ses­si­on the aca­demic co­un­cil de­lega­tes its aut­ho­rity and de­cisi­on ma­king so­me ur­gent aca­demic qu­es­ti­ons of the edu­cati­ve-met­ho­dical pro­cess to met­ho­dolo­gical co­un­cil of KAU.
The mem­bers­hip of aca­demic co­un­cil and met­ho­dolo­gical co­un­cil ha­ve a cha­ir­man (the pre­sident of KAU) emi­nent sci­en­tists, uni­ver­si­ty pro­fes­sors, vi­ce-pre­sident, fa­cul­ty de­ans and unit ma­nagers.
