Master's degree program

Af­ter re­ce­iving of the ma­ximum ba­sic edu­cati­on or pro­fes­si­onal hig­her edu­cati­on (5 years of tra­ining) at KAU you ha­ve an op­portu­nity to con­ti­nue tra­ining in Mas­ter’s deg­ree prog­ram for get­ting ma­ximum sci­en­ti­fic and pe­dago­gical edu­cati­on in the fol­lo­wing di­rec­ti­ons:

• MBA (mas­ter of bu­siness ad­mi­nist­ra­ti­on) prog­ramm at ka­zakh-Ame­rican uni­ver­si­ty pro­vides comp­re­hen­si­ve, ba­lan­ced pre­para­ti­on ne­eded for ma­nage­ri­al and exe­cuti­ve suc­cess in the pri­vate and pub­lic sec­tors. Our stu­dents de­velop le­aders­hip, ope­rati­onal, fi­nan­ci­al and stra­tegic ex­perti­se in an en­vi­ron­ment that emp­ha­sizes prac­ti­cal app­li­cati­on and com­mu­nica­ti­on skills.

• Ma­nage­ment. Qua­lifi­cati­on and the aca­demic deg­ree — the mas­ter of ma­nage­ment. Mas­ter’s deg­ree can car­ry out the fol­lo­wing kinds of pro­fes­si­onal work: pe­dago­gical, re­se­arch, ex­pert -ad­vi­sory.

Term of tra­ining in all set forth abo­ve di­rec­ti­ons:
• 1.5 years

Re­qu­ire­ments for en­rolment to a mas­ter’s deg­ree prog­ram stu­di­es: the app­li­cati­on add­res­sed to pre­sident of КАU; the qu­es­ti­on­na­ire; in­tervi­ew; 2 let­ters of re­com­menda­ti­on; 6 pho­tos
(3 х 4; the dip­lo­ma with the trans­cript (an ext­ract of exa­mina­ti­on es­ti­mati­ons) (ori­ginal).
Mas­ter’s prog­ram stu­dents ha­ve to pro­file the fol­lo­wing es­tabli­shed ob­li­gato­ry tra­ining com­po­nents:
• not less than 30–45 cre­dits (3 cre­dits are sup­po­sed for stu­dy­ing Eng­lish) -for the Mas­ter’s
Prog­ram deg­ree;
• Not less than 60 cre­dits (3 cre­dits are sup­po­sed for stu­dy­ing Eng­lish) -for mas­ter’s sci­en­ce deg­re­es

Fi­nal sta­te cer­ti­fica­ti­on is held in the form of fi­nal sta­te exams and the de­fen­se of mas­ter’s dis­serta­ti­on.
Pre­para­ti­on of dip­lo­ma pro­ject ta­kes 4 years cre­dits, and wri­ting a mas­ter’s dis­serta­ti­on ta­kes 6 cre­dits.

When stu­dy­ing at the mas­ter’s prog­ram you can pass exams equ­al to can­di­date’s mi­nimum, on the Ka­zakh lan­gu­age, phi­losop­hy and the fo­re­ign lan­gu­ages. You can get an op­portu­nity of par­ti­cipa­ting in­terna­ti­onal prog­rams; prac­ti­ce in te­ac­hing at high scho­ols and con­ti­nue your stu­di­es for get­ting PhD at uni­ver­si­ti­es-par­ters in the USA.
