As­so­ci­ated Scho­ol of UNES­CO at Ka­zakh-Ame­rican Uni­ver­si­ty (Scho­ol at КАU)


The Scho­ol at КАU cor­responds to the best mo­dels of Ka­zakh and Ame­rican (Se­ni­or High) scho­ols, in exis­tence sin­ce 1998 (Sta­te Li­cen­se 0008286) and as­so­ci­ated by UNES­CO in 2003. Sin­ce 2006–2007 aca­demic years the­re has be­en an ope­ning of the 1’st Gra­de whe­re edu­cati­on was car­ri­ed out in Ka­zakh lan­gu­age.

— Ope­ning up the po­ten­ti­al op­portu­niti­es and per­so­nal qua­liti­es of stu­dents;
— De­velop­ment of le­ar­ning mo­tiva­ti­on;
— For­ma­ti­on of an in­de­pen­dent thin­king and abi­lity to exp­ress them­selves fre­ely, be res­ponsib­le to ot­hers, res­pect and co­ope­rate with them;
— For­ma­ti­on of in­tellec­tu­al, cre­ati­vely thin­king per­so­nali­ty, ab­le to con­ti­nue the­ir furt­her edu­cati­on at KAU in Eng­lish lan­gu­age and for the fu­ture sub­se­qu­ent tra­ining in the USA;
— Pre­para­ti­on of high­ly edu­cated pu­pils, ca­pab­le to con­ti­nue the­ir edu­cati­on at pres­ti­gi­ous Hig­her Scho­ols of Ka­zakh­stan and ab­ro­ad;
— Cre­ation of con­ti­nu­ous (con­ve­yor-ty­pe) pro­cess of edu­cati­on and ne­ces­sa­ry edu­cati­onal-met­ho­dical supp­ly by КАU in Eng­lish lan­gu­age.

Кабинет «Ата-мұра» The Scho­ol at КАU has all le­vels of edu­cati­on:


— presc­ho­ol pre­para­ti­on of child­ren (5–6 years old) — 0 Gra­de;
— pri­mary scho­ol — 1st – 4th Gra­des;
— Ju­ni­or High Scho­ol — 5th – 9th Gra­des;
— Se­ni­or High Scho­ol — 10th –11th Gra­des;

Tra­ining at presc­ho­ol and pri­mary scho­ol is con­ducted in two lan­gu­ages: Rus­si­an and Ka­zakh with the use of va­ri­ous te­ac­hing tech­no­logi­es and pro­fo­und stu­dy­ing of Ka­zakh and Eng­lish lan­gu­ages.
The ma­in stra­tegic di­rec­ti­on of the pri­mary scho­ol is de­velo­ping of tra­ining which al­lows to ex­po­se in­di­vidu­al ta­lents and abi­liti­es of the pu­pils, help in for­ma­ti­on of an ele­men­ta­ry ori­en­ta­ti­on in ba­sic sphe­res of pu­pils’ ac­ti­vity and of an ear­ly skills of be­havi­our ba­sed upon a po­siti­ve mo­tiva­ti­on to stu­dy and cre­ation of con­di­ti­ons for psy­cho-phy­sical de­velop­ment of child­ren.
The con­tent of the edu­cati­onIn at the ini­ti­al sta­ge is be­ing re­ali­zed thro­ugh edu­cati­onal sphe­res that pro­vide comp­le­te per­cepti­on of the world. The mo­dern ten­denci­es of the Re­pub­lic of Ka­zakh­stan, its ent­ran­ce to the world eco­nomic and edu­cati­on sys­tems bro­ught abo­ut the ne­ed of te­ac­hing fo­re­ign lan­gu­age in the pri­mary scho­ol.

Star­ting from the 7th Gra­de edu­cati­on is be­ing con­ducted in 3 wa­ys: hu­mani­ty sci­en­ce; eco­nomics; tech­ni­cal sci­en­ces.
Edu­cati­onal pro­cess at the Scho­ol is clo­se to the one at the Uni­ver­si­ty, i.e.: one aca­demic year con­sists of 2 se­mes­ters — fall and spring. The exams ta­ke pla­ce in the midd­le of each se­mes­ter and at the end of it and inc­lu­de in them­selves two parts.
The lan­gu­age of edu­cati­on: 0–6th Gra­des – Ka­zakh, Rus­si­an; 7th–11th Gra­des – Eng­lish.

1) Fi­ve da­ys a we­ek of scho­oling.
2) The pre-scho­ol and pri­mary scho­ol pu­pils are supp­li­ed with set of me­als fo­ur ti­mes a day, the Ju­ni­or High Scho­ol stu­dents are supp­li­ed with hot fo­od on­ce a day. Man­da­tory in­di­vidu­al tu­toring of our stu­dents is pro­vided by the pro­fes­si­onal te­ac­hers; stu­dents are al­so well supp­li­ed with bo­oks and ma­nu­als on any sub­jects; they are be­ing de­live­red to the Scho­ol and ta­ken ho­me by mi­nibu­ses; me­dical ser­vie at KAU’s cli­nic is ava­ilab­le for them as well. The­re is an op­portu­nity for the stu­dents to ta­ke part in cul­tu­ral-mass ac­ti­viti­es held by KAU; ha­ve an op­portu­nity of le­isu­re ti­me ac­ti­vity and In­ternet ac­cess.
The non­re­sident pu­pils are gi­ven a ro­om at well ar­ranged dor­mi­tory.
3) The le­ar­ning of Eng­lish and Ka­zakh lan­gu­ages is car­ri­ed out by a di­visi­on in­to sub-gro­ups with the ade­qu­ate le­vel of pre­para­ti­on.
4) All te­ac­hers con­duct the­ir les­sons with the use of an in­forma­tive-com­mu­nica­ti­on tech­no­logi­es — vi­deo pre­sen­ta­ti­ons in Po­wer-Po­int, prin­ciples of cri­tical thin­king and prob­lem tra­ining met­ho­dolo­gy. Pre­para­ti­on and pre­sen­ta­ti­on of stu­dents’ pro­jects are held in Po­wer-Po­int as well.

Кабинет The pe­dago­gical staff of Scho­ol at КАU con­ducts the pur­po­seful, well plan­ned work on per­fecti­on the te­ac­hing and edu­cati­onal pro­cess. The ma­in aim of tra­ining is cre­ation at our Scho­ol of fa­vorab­le con­di­ti­ons for de­velop­ment of har­mo­ni­ous, spi­ritu­al, mo­ral per­son with to­lerant mind­set, cor­respon­ding to mo­dern re­qu­ire­ments. Along­si­de with the re­solu­ti­on of prob­lems of edu­cati­onal pro­cess, the Scho­ol is ob­li­ged to cre­ate all ne­ces­sa­ry con­di­ti­ons for self-de­velop­ment and self-af­firma­ti­on of the per­so­nali­ty and per­fecti­on the abi­liti­es of the pu­pils.
Our te­ac­hers pay the gre­at at­tenti­on to an out-of-class work, va­ri­ous eve­nings, com­pe­titi­ons of com­po­siti­ons, re­aders, re­ader’s con­fe­ren­ces, con­versa­ti­ons on mul­ti-cul­tu­ral edu­cati­on, the­matic talks de­voted to all sta­te ho­lida­ys, ga­mes, KVN in Rus­si­an, Ka­zakh and Eng­lish lan­gu­ages are be­ing or­ga­nized on a re­gular ba­sis.


Con­ceptu­al po­siti­ons: the per­so­nal app­ro­ach of pe­dago­gic co­ope­rati­on; suc­cess is the ma­in con­di­ti­on of de­velop­ment of pu­pils du­ring the­ir edu­cati­on; com­fort in a class, go­od­will, mu­tu­al aid; se­qu­en­cu­al pro­cess in tra­ining, sys­te­matic con­tent of a te­ac­hing ma­teri­al; dif­fe­ren­ti­ation, ava­ila­bili­ty of tasks to eve­ry­one.
