Fact-finding camp «Summer/Winter Camp»
The campus is a town with its full infrastructure. It provides students with full language dipping and communication under conditions of real training in the last course, and also adaptation to the life at the chosen university in atmosphere of relative safety. Spending summer and winter vacations in America is one of the traditions of КАU.
The first «Summer/Winter Camp» trip from New York up to the Niagara Falls was organized in 1998. This program included such universities as Eastern Connecticut State University, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Wilkes University, and Pace University. Each of these universities has developed an interesting orientation program with its faculties and vicinities. For example, in Edinboro University of Pennsylvania students have visited the Niagara Falls and the well-known city of Buffalo. Representatives of Pace University have organized an interesting roundtrip about the city of New York, as the main building of university is situated in the center of this largest city of the world. The majority of students has most of all liked Eastern Connecticut State University with its cosy campuses and a hospitable meeting.
The Kazakh-American University gives students a unique opportunity to participate in «Summer/Winter Camp» program which allows them not only close acquaintance with American people, their culture and way of life, but also a visit to number of universities-partners of KAU with the purpose of acquaintance with its curriculums, campuses and conditions of training. The program lasts for a month during which the group of students from the Kazakh-American University visits a number of universities on well thought-out and approved route. Visiting the well- known and significant places of interest by a great number of tourists every year is also included in travel. The program includes intensive courses of English language by means of studying the American history and the various trainings directed on perfection of students language skills. In 2006 KAU has organized a trip to the islands of Malta for a group of students in order to study the English language. During their trip students not only studied and practiced English language, but also got adquainted with the sightseeing of the islands. After the completion of the courses students received the certifying certificates.
In the summer of 2007 students were offered a trip to Great Britain to study the English language and to rest on Euroround (Spain, Italy, France, Monaco) under "Summer Camp” Program.
