I am glad to gre­et you on be­half of the KAU’s fa­mily. No­wada­ys The Ka­zakh-Ame­rican Uni­ver­si­ty is a pres­ti­gi­ous Uni­ver­si­ty of an in­terna­ti­onal stan­dard and is the on­ly one in CIS which is ac­cepted as a mem­ber of an As­so­ci­ation of Ame­rican Col­le­ges and Uni­ver­si­ti­es. Des­pi­te its youth KAU has its own fe­atu­res and pri­ori­ti­es. Ha­ving sa­ved the best tra­diti­ons of the clas­sic So­vi­et scho­ol and com­bi­ning them with the edu­cati­on cur­ri­culums of the le­ading Ame­rican Hig­her Edu­cati­on Ins­ti­tuti­ons KAU of­fers its stu­dents the op­portu­nity to ob­ta­in the enor­mo­us know­ledge and de­velop a fle­xib­le thin­king that will enab­le them to be­come true pro­fes­si­onals in the­ir fi­eld of work and be suc­cess­ful in the mo­dern dy­namic world. Du­ring the pro­cess of this Uni­ver­si­ty be­ing es­tabli­shed we ha­ve set a go­al in front of us – to cre­ate a fle­xib­le sys­tem of edu­cati­on that will help to grow up the fu­ture in­tellec­tu­al eli­te of Ka­zakh­stan and to­day we can pro­ud­ly sta­te that we ha­ve ac­hi­eved this aim. Gra­du­ates of KAU are cur­rent­ly be­ing emp­lo­yed by the le­ading com­pa­ni­es of Ka­zakh­stan, oc­cu­py top po­siti­ons in bu­siness, in­terna­ti­onal or­ga­niza­ti­ons at the le­vel of a se­ni­or ma­nage­ment and not lo­wer than the le­vel of a me­di­um one. KAU car­ri­es out the con­ti­nu­ous cyc­le of edu­cati­onal ser­vi­ces: Scho­ol at KAU As­so­ci­ated with UNES­CO (Gra­des 1–11), Al­ma­ty Ci­ty Col­le­ge of Com­mu­nica­ti­on, Un­derg­ra­du­ate and Gra­du­ate Prog­rams. In 2004 the branch cam­pus was ope­ned in the ci­ty of Aty­rau and was cal­led KAU’s Wes­tern Ka­zakh­stan Branch Cam­pus (WKB KAU). The Uni­ver­si­ty has its own tra­diti­ons and high­ly pro­fes­si­onal aca­demic staff. KAU has suc­cess­ful­ly imp­le­men­ted a cre­dit sys­tem of edu­cati­on which is di­rec­ted at in­tegra­ti­on of the Uni­ver­si­ty in­to the world stan­dards of hig­her edu­cati­ons and pre­sen­ting the op­portu­nity to our gra­du­ates to be com­pe­titi­ve in the world edu­cati­on and of­fe­ring our gra­du­ates the op­portu­nity to be high­ly com­pe­titi­ve at the world mar­ket of pro­fes­si­onal ser­vi­ces. Wit­hin a short pe­ri­od of ti­me ma­ny are­as of KAU’s aca­demic li­fe we­re trans­for­med with the go­al of in­tensi­fy­ing the edu­cati­on pro­cess, sci­en­ti­fic re­se­arch, in­terna­ti­onal ac­ti­vity and the es­tablish­ment of clo­se, mu­tu­al­ly be­nefi­ci­al ti­es with bu­siness en­terp­ri­ses. This pro­cess of con­ti­nu­ous re­newal has its aim to cor­respond with the ra­pid chan­ge of a de­mand for spe­ci­alists in va­ri­ous fi­elds.
